A DIVINE TRIAL IN FAVOUR OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL TRANSITION
Orkizomai immerses the audience in an experiential piece of immersive theatre where myth and current events collide.
In a world devastated by ecological disaster, Gaia brings a lawsuit against the gods of Olympus—Demeter, Poseidon, Artemis, Apollo, and Ares—accusing them of ecocide for betraying their mission as protectors of the Earth. Transformed into modern corporate leaders, they must answer for their crimes before the last survivors of humanity. Jury members, witnesses, clerks, defense lawyers: each spectator is assigned a role and becomes an active participant in this sacred trial.
Blending ancient ritual, political satire, and ecological reflection, the play questions our collective and individual responsibilities in the face of the destruction of life.
This original creation is supported by the CNC (National Center for Cinema) and developed in partnership with the Académie du Climat. It is part of the program for former residents of Le Centquatre-Paris.
